Final Fantasy XIII: More to be Revealed Soon

Square Enix is holding a series of special events from August 31^st to September 2^nd to celebrate Final Fantasy’s 25^th Anniversary in Japan. At least one of these events will divulge more information on the state of Final Fantasy XIII and the series’ future developments. Square Enix has provided a brief description of what to expect:

“Final Fantasy XIII Lightning Saga: New Developments Presentation” – The future of the FF XIII project will be revealed at this event and the series’ main staff will be in attendance to discuss the project.

Other events include:

Presentation of music from Final Fantasy XI
Final Fantasy XIV 2.0
Final Fantasy VII 15^th Anniversary

Okay, so the XIII series IS going to be based on Cloud If He Was a Girl. Called it!

  While Nomura was asked to design Lightning as a female Cloud, she’s hardly the same character as Final Fantasy VII’s protagonist. Cloud spends half of VII in a confused haze and feeling sorry for himself. Lightning was always more laser-focused. Possibly too much so for her own good.

I’ll be interested in seeing what happens. If there IS a new game, I’d still be interested, as long as they try to improve on mistakes from both previous games.

  I have the 2nd game waiting to be played. Maybe I should start that soon to have a stronger opinion of the FFXIII franchise.
