Earlier, we reported that Square Enix registered a domain for Final Fantasy VII PC. We didn’t know whether or not that would lead to anything, but if this google cache (http://webcache NULL.googleusercontent NULL.com/search?q=cache:dev NULL.finalfantasyviipc NULL.com/en) found by Joystiq is to be believed, it certainly will.
According to said cache, there are plans for a PC release of the game. But this doesn’t appear to be just a straight port of the game like the PSN version. According to the cache, there appear to be some extra features in this version, including achievements, cloud saving, and something called a “character booster”. The cache explains that “you can increase your HP, MP and Gil levels to their maximum, all with the simple click of a button, leaving you to enjoy your adventure.”
The cache doesn’t show a release date, but it does show a European price of £7.99 / €9.99. I’m sure a press release about this game shall come soon.
