Looks like Aliens: Colonial Marines will be worth the wait.

On June 4, Randy Pitchford, CEO of Aliens developer Gearbox, appeared on Spike’s “E3 All Access” show to discuss the upcoming FPS and its features. In addition to a cooperative mode, the game’s multiplayer will include a mode where one player can play as a Xenomorph from a third-person perspective. The single-player campaign will be split into several story arcs that are part of a larger arc, and has a “drop-in cooperative” feature where another player can join in at any time.

Sega plans to release Aliens: Colonial Marines on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 February 12, 2013, with a Wii U version in the pipeline as well. Regular and limited editions are available.

About Will Whitehurst

Will joined the Operation Rainfall Campaign soon after news broke of that infamous French interview about Xenoblade. Subsequently, he got actively involved and became a staff member in July/August 2011. He is currently an Editor on the website, and loves to play, discuss, debate and learn more about games. Will gravitates towards unconventional action games (such as bullet hell shooters) and RPGs, but plays pretty much anything except Madden.
