As anticipated by the series’ fans, Assassin’s Creed III was revealed in full at Ubisoft’s E3 press conference earlier today. In the game, the Assassin-Templar war takes to the eastern United States in the midst of the American Revolution.

Assassin’s Creed III features Ratohnhaké:ton, a half-Mohawk soldier who changes his name to the alias Connor Kenway, joins the Assassin Order and sides with several key historical figures such as George Washington, Benjamin Franklin and Paul Revere.

New to the series are different types of weaponry, such as guns, muskets, tomahawks and crossbows, all of which can be used to kill foes and hunt for animals. While fans expect British soldiers to be the main enemy, series producer Francois Pelland stated that Connor has to face enemies from all sides of the conflict.

Assassin’s Creed III will be released by Ubisoft on October 30, 2012 on the PS3, 360 and PC, with a Wii U release date to be determined.

Will joined the Operation Rainfall Campaign soon after news broke of that infamous French interview about Xenoblade. Subsequently, he got actively involved and became a staff member in July/August 2011. He is currently the head of the Japanese translation team, and loves to play, discuss, debate and learn more about games. Will gravitates towards unconventional action games and RPGs, but plays pretty much anything except Madden. He is also currently attending college, honing his Japanese skills and preparing for medical school. (Coincidentally, Trauma Center is one of his favorite game series of all time.)
