Some more info on BlazBlue: Chronophantasma has been revealed today, along with the cover art of both the normal edition and the limited edition, which are set to hit Japanese shelves on October 24th.

Aside from the covers, BlazBlue fans can also start to anticipate the new online system that Chronophantasma will offer as well, as the online lobby system has been completely overhauled. Players wanting to use BlazBlue: Chronophantasma‘s online system will find themselves taking control of chibi versions of their favorite BlazBlue characters for avatars, letting them move around freely as they search for versus machines (both occupied and reserved) to initiate matches. Players will have the option to customize their information in a sort of business card fashion, letting friends and rivals see their accomplishments.
This new online system will have the maximum of players that can enter a room increase from 6 players in the previous title to 8 in BlazBlue: Chronophantasma, as well as adding text chat support to supplement the voice chat and fixed messages. Also, Chronophantasma‘s online system will also have four selectable rooms that will cater to the needs of the player, these rooms are: play & spectate, free-for-all, training, and replay viewing.
Another new addition to BlazBlue: Chronophantasma will be glossary mode, which will let both fighting game novices and new BlazBlue players get a grasp on terminologies like “okizeme” and “mashing”, which are essential in mastering a fighting game.
BlazBlue: Chronophantasma will be arriving in Japan on October 24th, only for the PlayStation 3. North American fans will have to wait for the title early next year.
