Amazon Sends Emails for The Last Story Date Change

We are getting reports that Amazon is sending out email notices that The Last Story will ship August 3rd. We want to remind everybody that XSEED has not revealed a release date yet. The only thing Amazon ever had was a placeholder date. Therefore, there is no DELAY since there was never a release date to begin with. Will the game come out in July, August, or later, is anyone’s guess.

We’ll let everybody know if we hear anything about a solid release date for The Last Story.

its gonna be ported to WiiU and will be awesomeness!!! they did the same with twilight princess. delayed release date multiple times only to release it on 2 generation of consoles!

If its ported to the Wii U I will rage if there is not a Wii version either. Seriously…I pre-ordered this. When on Bionis is this title EVER gonna get a solid release date?

It’s not getting ported to Wii U. I would say there is little to no chance of that. XSEED has already promoted it as a Wii game. They would just be pissing people off.

Good evening.. excuse me but I don’t know.. If I pre-order The Last Story in Amazon I will receive the Collector Edition with the artbook?. I’m planning to do that tomorrow.. I’m sorry about my english but I’m from Peru.. thank you..

It’s certainly not going to be ported to the Wii U. As the article said, there’s technically “no delay” as there never was a release date to begin with. You have to remember who’s bringing the game over, and that’s Xseed. They don’t have a programmer to modify the game in the least. (They don’t even put translated text in themselves; they have to rely on the other company to do it.) All they’re doing, really, is localizing it for America.

To be honest, I don’t see why Nintendo would even consider porting this game to the U to begin with. The Last Story hasn’t, as of yet, had stupendous sales, and the game will all ready be able to play on the Wii U by virtue of being a Wii game. They’d kind of be wasting their time on a game like the Last Story, where there (most likely) won’t be a good monetary yield for porting it.
