On November 14, 2012, Aksys Games announced its plan to launch a Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts Watch Sale. The company, upon hearing of the devastation hurricane Sandy had brought on wanted to do its part. All of the proceeds were to be donated to the American Red Cross in order to get people supplies that were much needed during their time of much need. With a donation to be made of $12,920.00, I think that they have more then achieved their goal. Way to go guys and gals!

The watches were sold out within 24 hours which proves two things. 1. People love them some Zero Escape and 2. Some people can really be counted on to pitch in when part of the country is laying in a wake of devastation. Aksys let everyone know what they were doing and even the comments made in the post to let everyone know of their plan showed great respect. Akibo Shieh, CEO of Aksys Games explains, “I’ve always felt that no matter what, it’s important to give back to the community wherever we can, especially during times such as these. Whether it’s an individual or a small company like us, if we all work together we can make a difference. We hope that our friends on the East Coast recover as quickly as possible.”

The company has now said “Aksys Games would like to thank, from the bottom of our hearts, those who reached in their pockets and purchased a Virtues Last Reward watch to help our friends on the East Coast. We sincerely hope that this donation will aid in the ongoing relief efforts.” As I stated the first time I mentioned this, it was a very classy move of Aksys and I say thank you to them as well as everyone who contributed to the cause and made it such a rousing success.
