Lock's Quest
Can we fix it?! Probably.

Lock’s Quest is a solid RTS/Tower Defense mash-up with an appealing art style, engaging game play, and an intriguing story. While developer 5th Cell has since moved on to other projects such as Scribblenauts and Hybrid, I’d love to see them revisit the concepts and game play they created here. Lock’s Quest may have ended, but I’d hate to see the series end there. After you finish the game, there’s a developer’s cave accessible through a fairly complex series of inputs (easily found online), wherein you can talk with a few of the developers for a few witty comments. More importantly, though, a few gravestones allude to the axed modes – vehicles, city building, and wi-fi. A 3DS sequel could fix the graphical/technical issues and inject some life into the repetitious elements. As it stands, though, Lock’s Quest is indeed a quest worthy of your time.

I joined Oprainfall in August 2012 as a writer and reporter. After I proved myself, I became Review Manager and handled all reviews for the site. I then branched out and took over all PR duties for Oprainfall. Now I keep us in touch with publishers, obtain codes for official reviews, schedule interviews, and tackle other assorted PR responsibilities. I'll play anything, but I view new releases with a cynical eye.
