Stardew Valley | Finished Community Center

While we here at Operation Rainfall love covering the latest in gaming news and sharing our reviews of titles new and classic, we also just enjoy playing games in our downtime. So with that, sit back, relax, and check out what the oprainfall gaming crew have been up to this week!

Stardew Valley | Finished Community Center

I still haven’t gotten back to gaming as much as I usually like to. At this point, it’s possibly only part gaming slump and part getting distracted by other stuff, plus simply having been a while since I was consistently gaming like normal. Regardless, I did get back into Stardew Valley again this week. Kind of dropped it for a week or two and then this past week, I picked it back up and finally finished restoring the community center on my main Switch path. This is actually the first time I’ve finished it since my original path back on PS4, before any major updates were added to the console versions. Since now there’s quite a bit more postgame content than back in 2017, I’ve gotten started on that, been collecting golden walnuts and slowly working towards unlocking stuff. I also decided to go ahead and have a kid with my usual Stardew husband, Shane. I don’t normally get far enough into these farming sims to have kids, but I figured why not? It doesn’t seem like a very tedious addition and now I get to see all of Shane’s new parental comments and whatnot. – Jenae

FFXIV Machinist PVP | oprainfall gaming

This has been a pretty light gaming week for me. Outside of my usual Final Fantasy XIV activities (really trying to catch up on PVP) and rolling on the new summer outfits for Nier Re[in]carnation, I’ve been mainly jumping around with Xbox GamePass titles. As mentioned in a couple previous columns, I finished Unpacking and poked around some more at Chinatown Detective Agency. I also played around a little bit with the Sonic Origins collection, though not enough to get a good feel for it. I will forever lament the music changes, even if I understand the licensing issues, but Ice Cap Zone was my absolute favorite Sonic song and it just isn’t the same without its music. – Leah
