The first Nintendo Download of December brings a handful of new featured titles headed by Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain. Meanwhile, the sales scene has died down considerably, but we have plenty of new eShop games again this week.

Featured Games

A series of activities designed to bend your mind awaits you in Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain. You can start honing both your speed and skills when the game launches tomorrow for Nintendo Switch. Take on friends or family in four-player matchups! There are also varying difficulties, which means “a kid can hold their own against an adult”.

Disney Magical World 2: Enchanted Edition also arrives tomorrow. Wander and explore Disney-themed worlds and hang around with beloved characters. Take on plenty of challenges and live your dream life!

Danganronpa Decadence is a physical visual novel collection that brings you four games starting on December 3rd. The final one is a bonus title with a board game style. Inside the collection you’ll find:

Finally, our last featured game this week, Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space, will arrive on the 8th of December. This is a remaster of the second season of the episodic series. Team up with a six-foot canine detective, Sam, and an energetic rabbit-like thing named Max. The series has been going now for over 30 years in both comic books and video game form.

Current Sales

This Nintendo Download has a far quieter sales scene. All of the ones from last week have ended (except for one), as you might have expected.

The one that is still active ends tonight at 11:59 pm PT. It is none other than the Danganronpa Anniversary Editions + Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp Digital Pre-Order Sale.

As always, check out Nintendo’s sales page for full details on all current sales.

That concludes the first Nintendo Download of December 2021. This will also be one of my last ones, as I am leaving oprainfall at the end of the year since the only constant in life is change. It’s hard to believe I’ve already been here nearly a decade!

Michael Fontanini
Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
