This week’s Nintendo Download has three featured games, from RPGs, to platformers, to an 80s fever dream!

Featured Games

Monster Hunter Rise ($59.99), the latest entry in the critically acclaimed series of action RPGs, is here! It drops players into lush environments to explore their ecosystems. Players will seek out and battle formidable monsters in the land of Kimura Village. However, chaos is unfolding again as a horrible new monster appears, posing a massive threat to the village! Can you take the beast down?

Also releasing in less than a day is Balan Wonderworld ($59.99). The action platformer is centered around the Balan Theatre, where Emma and Leo (the stars of the show) must utilize the special abilities granted by costumes. Their adventure will take them through Wonderworld, an imaginary place where memories and reality meld with the things people cherish.

Our third and final featured title this week, Narita Boy ($24.99), launches on March 30th. It’s the 80s, and a genius known as The Creator has given birth to a new game console called the Narita One! With the help of Narita Boy, its flagship game, it has become the best-selling console ever. However, trouble soon emerges from inside its code. “Him” has returned and erased the memories of The Creator. It’s up to you to wield the Techno-sword as a lowly pixel-hero trapped in the Digital Realm and become a legend!

Current Sales

The Nintendo Download this week doesn’t have much new to offer in the sales scene, but there is a new My Nintendo gold points offer. If you buy a Nintendo Switch Online 12-month plan between now and May 10th at 11:59pm PT, you’ll earn some My Nintendo Gold Points. The amount is based on the cost of your plan. This offer is valid for renewals and for both individual and family plans.

Aside from that, the Famicom Detective Club games offer, the Capcom Publisher Sale, and the Ubisoft Spring Savings Publisher Sale we looked at last week are all still ongoing.

Check out Nintendo’s sales page for full details on everything.

Michael Fontanini
Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
