Earlier in the interview, I referenced how I notice your presence in every visual novel developer’s Discord server. From your perspective, what’s it like to meet so many of the hard-working individuals creating these stories?

I have no words on the talent that individuals have that creates visual novels, whatever role you have in game creating, no matter how big or small that role is, you are such a talented, motivational & bright person. Not listing anyone in particular, as I’m bound to forget someone, everyone that I have met in chat rooms are incredibly welcoming, loving people, with game creating along with myself video creating, those who don’t have experience in this kind of field can often forget that content creators are also people with their own lives, outside of their roles of game creating.

They also have necessities that comes first before creating a game, along with that the frame of mind too, if you are not up to working one day on your game that’s perfectly fine, if you work on little bits, also perfectly fine, if you are working flat out, again perfectly fine. From all of this, each and every person I have the wonder of talking to, again, have helped myself shape the person that I am today.

Last year was not easy for anyone. What did you learn from such a wild year and will it change how you approach content creation?

2020 was an absolute dumpster fire and a half for the world, this current pandemic has hit each and every one of us individually. Myself, it didn’t stop me from making content for the channel, though through the year more than ever, I’ve learnt to appreciate everyone even more than ever. This is because you never know who in your tightly knit community could catch COVID-19, along with what it can do to them if they catch it.

My approach to content creation has largely remained the same before, during and hopefully at some point after the pandemic. The virus will never go away, but one day, we’ll all have the vaccine to then be able to see our friends & family again.

What goals do you have for the new year? Any milestones you want to reach or perhaps you want to reach a certain number of stories read?

Realistically, I’d love to hit 7k subscribers by the end of the year. Unrealistically, I’d love to hit 10k subscribers by the same point. A personal goal of mine to start digging my heels into is voice acting, starting out for indie games and, from there, perhaps something more mainstream like anime. I have most of the equipment & software already from the content creating that I do already for my channel, the only difference being is it’s for voice acting.

Where to start with all of this is still in the planning stage, I’m looking to put up samples on sites like SoundCloud, but any specifics sites for this kind of thing would be awesome! For the number of games to play for the game is uncertain, depends on how long each story takes to complete. From demos to full games, each game varies in length, at the time of this interview I’m playing a visual novel that’s said to take about 50 hours minimal to complete, while another game I’ve played would take only 2 hours to complete.

Is there anything you’d like to say to our readers, your fans, and maybe even the developers you’ve met along the way after they finalize reading your answers?

Thank you to everyone who I have interacted with throughout my years of content creating, there’s so many times when content creating that can put a tear to my eyes when I see what people wrote, every thank you written, every silly comment about something I said during a let’s play. Each and every one of you who’s developed your own game, or are currently developing your own game (on your own or in a team), you have a set of amazing talents that a lot of people would love to have, don’t undervalue yourself both with yourself along with what you can do when you put your mind to it.

To all my fans out there, whether if it was today you subscribed, or from way back in 2014, along with anywhere in-between, there are no words to describe how grateful I am for your support. Without your love & support, I wouldn’t be making videos. Finally, keep in contact with your close ones. Time is a cruel mistress, and none of us know exactly how much time we have left in the land of the living. COVID-19, for some of us, has taken away a loved one. Back in March 2020, I lost my grandfather to COVID-19 and a part of my life was taken away from me that I can never get back, but the memories made with him of the 26 years I’ve known him will stay with me forever. He helped me develop a sense of humour when I never had one when I was much younger.

COVID-19 in many ways has separated us, but never let that stop you, stop us from being able to connect with one another in other means. The internet is an absolutely amazing way of connecting with loved ones, your friends, your work colleagues & others in your lives in which you needed to adopt a different means of communication to ensure we can keep working together, but apart to be safe from COVID-19. Each day that transcends is a day closer to seeing our loved ones, keep mentally strong & physically active, time only feels slower when you aren’t doing anything. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to be interviewed, thank you so much for reading all the way through and take care of yourselves!
