Kaguya-sama: Love is War | Kaguya, Hayasaka, Chika

A third season and OVA have been announced for the Kaguya-sama: Love Is War anime. Both are scheduled to release sometime in 2021.

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War is a manga series written and illustrated by Aka Akasaka. The manga is published by Shueisha under their Young Jump Comics imprint. It first released in Miracle Jump magazine from May to January 2016. The manga is currently printed in Weekly Young Jump as of March 2016 and has 19 volumes in print. Viz Media has licensed the manga for release in English.

Viz Media describes volume 1 as follows:

As leaders of their prestigious academy’s student council, Kaguya and Miyuki are the elite of the elite! But it’s lonely at the top… Luckily for them, they’ve fallen in love! There’s just one problem—they both have too much pride to admit it. And so begins the daily scheming to get the object of their affection to confess their romantic feelings first

Love is a war you win by losing.

Kaguya-sama has previously inspired two prior anime seasons, both produced by A-1 Pictures. The first season streamed in English as it aired in Japan on Crunchyroll, Funimation and Hulu. Funimation gained exclusive streaming rights to the second season.

From a good family? Check! A good personality? Check! Shuchiin Academy is where all these elite students with bright futures flock to. As the two leaders of the student council, Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane have supposedly fallen in love… But after almost half a year, nothing has happened!? They both have too much pride and can’t be honest. Things have gotten troublesome, and they are now caught in a war of “How to get the other to confess their love first.” This is a whole new romantic comedy, following an outbreak of cunning warfare between two elite students in love.
