It’s time for another Nintendo Download, and this week we have four featured titles to look at. Nintendo has also released a demo for Kirby Fighters 2. Without any further ado, let’s get right to the featured games of the week.

Featured Games

First up, we have story-driven rogue-lite survival game, The Red Lantern ($19.99 | $24.99). It tasks players with surviving in the Alaskan Tundra, all while trying to get home with their five sled dogs. The frozen wilderness is your greatest threat, so you’ll need to manage resources carefully in a changing world if you want to survive.

The second featured title for today is GONNER2 ($11.69 | $12.99), where you’ll adventure through the dark depths of many chaotic areas. At the same time, the art style is surprisingly colorful. You’ll face crazy bosses as you try to help death in this procedurally generated co-op platformer.

Next up, we have Supraland ($19.99). This open-world puzzle-platformer takes you on a quest to save your toy village in a first-person perspective. Fight to get an audience with the Blue King as Supraland gives you a new take on puzzles and exploration in this sandbox adventure game.

The last featured title in today’s Nintendo Download is Carto. ($17.99 | $19.99). Young Carto finds herself separated from her Granny during a storm. She will have to use her unusual cartography powers not just to map the world, but to manipulate it. She’ll adventure through lush biomes filled with hand-drawn art on her quest to reunite with her Granny. Carto is set to launch on October 27th.

The sales scene is a little more active in this week’s Nintendo Download. While GONNER2 is one of the featured titles today, the original GONNER game is currently 80% off. Mystery game, Tangle Tower, is celebrating its very first anniversary with a 30% off discount. The Outer Worlds is also celebrating, in light of its new patch, with a 20% discount.

We have a few bigger sales to talk about this week, as well. If you’re into Mega Man, then this first one is a great time for you to fill some holes in your library, with discounts up to 60% off. The Mega Man Franchise Sale runs until October 29th at 11:59pm PT and features a group of six Nintendo Switch games:

We also have a Ubisoft sale going on until October 31st at 11:59pm PT. This sale can save you as much as 75% on a group of 21 games from a number of franchises such as:

The last major sale right now is a new Warner Bros. event running until November 2nd at 9:00am PT with savings up to 75% off on 13 games. This one is very similar to the sale they did back in the second half of August, which we covered in the 9/24 Nintendo Download. It includes Mortal Kombat 11 ($19.99 | $49.99), and a number of Lego games, as well as Scribblenauts Mega Pack ($9.99 | $39.99) and Scribblenauts Showdown ($9.99 | $39.99). Lastly, this sale also includes Cars 3: Driven to Win ($9.99 | $39.99).

That wraps up this week’s Nintendo Download sales coverage.

That’s it for Nintendo Download this week. We’ll be back with more next time!

About Michael Fontanini

Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general).

Michael is also a computer programmer. This started with a toy he got as a kid called Pre-Computer 1000 that was made by V-Tech. It had a simple programming mode (a bare-bones version of BASIC) which is what started him down the road of being a programmer! Michael can program in BASIC, Visual Basic, C++, C#, and is familiar with Java and Lua Script.

Putting programming and gaming together, Michael became a hobbyist game developer, which may give him some good insights on game development! Most recently, he has been playing with the Unity 3D game engine (a powerful and easy-to-use engine) and learning 3D modelling in Blender.

I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
