Developer GUST Studios, along with Koei Tecmo, have revealed some new quest characters appearing in Fairy Tail. The upcoming magical-infused JRPG also got some new guild hall features detailed to show off some new gameplay outside of combat. The game is coming to North American Switch and PlayStation 4 owners on June 26th. PC players will be able to get their hands on it a day earlier, on June 25th via Steam. Here’s the brand new trailer:

Fairy Tail players will join forces with many guest characters as they explore the narrative world of Magnolia. These characters are not directly playable, but will join your party to support you with their powerful magic. These quest characters include:

  • the ‘Arc of Time User,’ Ultear Milkovich, from the Crime Sorcière guild
  • the ‘Ice-Make Wizard,’ Lyon Vastia, from the Lamia Scale guild
  • the ‘Burning Hair Wizard,’ Flare Corona, from the Raven Tail guild
  • and Minerva Orland, ‘Sabertooth Guild’s Finest Lady.’

During your adventure in Fairy Tail, the guild hall will be a crucial meeting point. You’ll spend time their preparing your team for the next missions. You’ll likely want to trade and sell to get important supplies and materials. Players may also just want to take it easy at the bar, where you can get a selection of drinks with a variety of status effects. The guild can also be upgraded to increase the selection of items available to you. This will prove quite handy as your adventure progresses and your team matures.

Players can also do one-on-one duels with their comrades. The winner will earn rewards based on who they defeated. You can also find members of other guilds across the world of Magnolia to challenge. There is also a pre-order bonus and Digital Deluxe version of the game. You can find out more about those in our previous article on Fairy Tail, which covered that and Gildarts joining the roster.

Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
