This might be a controversial opinion, but I was a big fan of the original Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE game. I’m far from the biggest anti-censorship voice on the site, so I just gave it a shot cause it looked fun. And I haven’t regretted that decision yet. I played the hell out of the original game, which is relevant since today during the Nintendo Direct they announced an updated version is coming to the Nintendo Switch. it’s called Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore, and I personally couldn’t be more excited for it.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore | 1

It appears the original version of Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE that we got in North America is going to be the base version for Encore, but it will also have some new bells and whistles. There seem to be new playable characters as well as new missions and story content. They didn’t go into a lot of detail, but I’ll be honest – I was probably going to buy this anyhow if it was just a remastered version with nothing new. The fact we get more time with Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE makes it worthwhile for this fan. Plus, we get a new main song in this version, which should be delightful.

If you like quirky and interesting RPGs with great characters, story, music and combat, then you owe it to yourself to check out Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore. Especially if you missed out on the original Wii U game, which our site reviewed pretty highly. It officially comes out January 17th of 2020.
