Author’s Note: This article contains spoilers concerning the Alicization arc of Sword Art Online.

At Sword Art Online Beater’s Meeting 2019, some more information was revealed for Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris. A new game original character was introduced named Medina Orthinanos. She is the ninth head of the Orthinanos family and works to clear her family’s name. Medina is voiced by Miho Okasaki who is known for voicing Rimuru Tempest in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.

Nobunaga Shimazaki, the voice of Eugeo, also revealed some more information on the game’s story. The game will feature a scenario in which Eugeo survives the battle with Administrator. The route shows what would have happened in the story if he and Alice Zuberg lived after the battle with Administrator.

Here are a couple more bits of information from the stream. (Thanks to @SAO_Wikia for the translations.)

• Combat consists of a combination of regular attacks, Sword Skills and Sacred Arts. Players build up a gauge in order to use skills and can chain regular attacks together.
• There are eight Sacred Arts elements.
• Skills have special effects and you can coordinate skills with your partners.
• Kirito, Alice, Eugeo and Medina are playable characters. No one else mentioned at this time.
• Various Underworld locations will be explorable on foot.
