DanMachi | Season 2 Key Visual

Sentai Filmworks has announced that they are bringing a special sneak preview of the next season of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? (DanMachi) to Anime Expo 2019. The premiere of the new season’s first episode will take place on July 5 in Main Events Hall B at 11:30 am. This event will take place before Sentai Filmwork’s wider release of the series on select digital platforms. Season 2 will begin with events that take place in volume 6 of the original light novel.

John Ledford, CEO of Sentai Filmworks, said the following about the upcoming season:

“When we launched the original series, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, to anime fans in 2015, we knew it was going to be tremendous pop culture force because of its unique mix of irreverence, lovable, relatable characters and fantastic story-telling. Audiences have been clamoring for a thrilling, direct follow-up ever since and the new series won’t disappoint.”

The next season will feature the return of fan favorites such as Bell and Hestia, and will also showcase some newer faces. Some of the new cast is as follows:

  • Ryota Osaka as Apollo
  • Haruka Chisuga as Sanjouno Haruhime
  • Akeno Watanabe as Aisha Belka
  • KENN as Hyakinthos Clio
  • Wakana Kowaka as Daphne Lauros
  • Ayumi Mano as Cassandra Ilion

In addition to this news, HIDIVE has announced that they will be doing a DUBCAST for DanMachi season 2. The dub will be directed by Kyle Colby Jones and will be available in the following areas:
