Spiralagon has just gotten a new icy incursion zone according to the press release. In it, the spiral platforming gameplay has frozen over for a slippery, treacherous path ahead! Developer Terminal Button Entertainment has also released a short gameplay trailer of the new zone in action. The game just released on November 27th of 2018 on itch.io, and you can choose to pay what you want. A minimum of $3 is required, but at least $9 is recommended. Spiralagon is a 3D platformer with a literal twist. You’ll be traversing spiral paths in an attempt to grab as many collectibles as you can for the high score. The game features a number of different play styles ranging from No Pressure Mode, to tense races against the clock. Do you keep collecting items to pad out your score and risk running out of time, or do you decide it’s time to play it safe and get to the goal before the clock beats you? Your own greed can bite you if you push your luck too far. Here are some screenshots of various levels:
Spiralagon also features a number of playable characters. Different characters also have different perks, such as fire resistance, cold resistance, higher jump, and more. There are a number of pickup types as well, such as fuel used for jump and speed boosts. You can also take on a permadeath campaign across all levels, building your score as the 42 minute timer ticks away. On the other hand, No Pressure Mode removes time limits and health, allowing you to ascend and descend the spiral paths at your leisure.
