Indie darling Celeste continues to get post-launch support with a new patch now live on PC. Among other adjustments, version 1.2.5.0 includes a challenging Variants mode designed for “anti-assistance”. Variants mode allows the player to make Celeste as weird or hard as desired.

While this new mode is on PC (via Steam and Itch) for now, Matt Thorson promises the update for console platforms “in the future”. That includes Nintendo Switch (where it’s sold best), PS4, and Xbox One. In the interim, Celeste is up for a Game of the Year nomination at this Thursday’s Game Awards 2018.
