In addition to the October line-up for Nintendo Switch Online’s NES selection, Nintendo surprised with a modified, “Special” version of 1987’s The Legend of Zelda. The “Living the life of luxury” version is adjusted from the original release for beginner players, as Link now starts with all items, extra hearts, and maxed-out Rupees. Completing this veritable “easy mode” unlocks a harder “Second Quest” playthrough.

Not to be forgotten, the three previously-announced NES games for October also made it out, consisting of Solomon’s Key, NES Open Tournament Golf, and Super Dodge Ball. All three games were previously released on every single version of Virtual Console, but now are on Switch with online play, multiple save states, and screen filters.
