Game publisher D3 Publisher Inc., announced today that the latest title in the beloved Earth Defense Force series, Earth Defense Force 5, will release for western markets this fall. Following a successful launch in Japan, Earth Defense Force 5 finds players taking up arms to defend Earth against a hostile alien invasion. In addition to hordes of alien insect invaders the series is famous for, the next installment in the fan favorite franchise also introduces a series-first with new humanoid aliens from the mysterious planet, Primer.
