Jurassic Park is back with a brand new game. Jurassic World Evolution is a park-builder where you must try to right the mistakes that the movie counterparts fell into, trying to build a theme park filled with dinosaurs. And just like the movies, a previous attempt at this genre was made in the early 2000’s with Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis. I remember playing Operation Genesis when I was younger, and even did a video talking about it in anticipation for this game.
As I played Jurassic World Evolution however, I noticed how similar the two games were. Not that they were in the same genre, but mechanics and presentation were almost identical. I found this really interesting, as these games were generations apart and from completely different studios. So I decided to dig a little deeper into Jurassic World Evolution and see what similarities are present and if they were done better before.
