Dragon Ball FighterZ

Bandai Namco Entertainment America has announced that Dragon Ball FighterZ open beta needs you. The power of the seven dragon balls is about to be in the hands of Nintendo Switch owners in the Americas, but first everyone can get a taste of what is on the way with the open beta. Players will be able to choose from 23 Dragon Ball FighterZ characters in the open beta on the Nintendo Switch. They will be able to battle in one of several modes, including Practice Battle Tutorial, Arena Match, Ring Match, and Ring Party Match modes. The tutorial mode will give players a chance to get some training under their belt before they step into battle with a real foe.

So when is the open beta going to start? Today’s press release lays out the whole timeline for us. Starting today, the open beta is available on the Nintendo Switch eShop for preload. This gives everyone time to get it installed before the open beta starts on Thursday, August 9th at 9:00pm PDT. At that time all players can launch the game and have access to the online servers to take the fight to their foes. The open beta will last for a couple of days before closing up shop on Saturday, August 11th at 11:59pm PDT.

The full Dragon Ball FighterZ experience is set to launch on the Nintendo Switch in the Americas on Friday, September 28th, 2018.

Michael Fontanini
Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
