BanG Dream! | 2nd and 3rd Season Promotion

The Official Twitter account for the BanG Dream! franchise has announced that two new seasons have been green-lit for the anime. The 2nd season will premiere next January. The 3rd season will premiere in October 2019. CG animation studio Sanzigen will replace Xebec and ISSEN in producing both new seasons. Sanzigen has previously worked on shows such as Arpeggio of Blue Steel and Black Rock Shooter.

The official YouTube channel for the franchise has also started streaming a short promotional video for the new seasons. You can check it out below.

BanG Dream! is a multimedia project launched by Bushiroad in January 2015. The Poppin’ Party band was formed for the project in February 2015. They were later joined by Roselia, Afterglow, Pastel*Palettes, and Hello, Happy World!.

The first season of the anime ran for 13 episodes and was produced by Xebec and ISSEN. It focused on the Poppin’ Party band. It is licensed for release in North America by Sentai Filmworks.

A mobile rhythm game titled BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! was released on March 16, 2017 in Japan. The game is developed by Craft Egg and published by Bushimo. An English version of the game released on April 4, 2018.
