Reverie | Combat

Are you a fan of Earthbound? How about Zelda? Does the juxtaposition of both titles in the same sentence get you all revved up? If so, you might be interested in picking up Reverie. Developed by a New Zealand based team, Rainbite Limited, it’s trying to evoke both of those classic series. You play a young boy named Tai, on holiday in Toromi Island when he’s suddenly beset by angry spirits. His only way forward is to navigate dangerous dungeons and put things back in order.

Reverie | Cricket Bat
Nothing says hero quite like a Cricket Bat!

If that sounds interesting, you might also be interested to hear that Reverie is getting a limited edition courtesy of Play-Asia, which is slated to launch May 18th for PS4 and Vita. This physical release will include a copy of the game, soundtrack CD, map, numbered certificate and a sweet collector’s box. Distribution will be limited to 3000 copies, and orders will officially be open May 17th, 11PM Hong Kong time.

Reverie | Limited Edition

I always like games that evoke Earthbound, and I do appreciate more games for PS4 and especially my Vita. If you’re in the same boat, you should check this game out on the Play-Asia site in the coming days. While there is as yet no price available, I’m sure that will be updated soon.
