A Nintendo of Europe eShop press release has ousted a Nintendo Switch port of Toki Tori 2, since confirmed by developer Two Tribes. Originally released in 2013 for the Wii U, Toki Tori 2‘s Switch port is dated for North America and Europe on Friday, February 23rd.

Digital preorders are presently open on the eShop in advance of the sudden release, and the game will carry a special introductory price of $9.99 USD until March 9th.

A sequel to the original Game Boy Color Toki Tori, you once again play as a squat bird who cannot jump, but can rewind time to correct your mistakes as you recover the five Ancient Frogs. Two Tribes confirms the Switch port sports tweaked gameplay with new secrets, in-game achievements, video capture support and HD Rumble.

Toki Tori 2 was one of Two Tribe’s final games until 2016’s RiVE. The studio has pulled out of game development due to an evolving games industry. With the Switch port of their penultimate game next week, a new breed of console owners will get to discover the once-Wii U exclusive themselves.
