Koei Tecmo is allowing players to work together or competitively in Attack on Titan 2.
Co-operatively, the game carries over the online modes from the first game, but now players can work together in Story Mode and Scout Missions as well.
However, the biggest addition is the Annihilation Mode, the competitive mode. Players are split into teams, and whichever team with the most points from subjugating Titans wins. High points can be achieve by chaining together attacks with your teammates by destroying Titan body parts. You can also earn points by developing and defending bases on select levels.
Furthermore, you can sabotage your opponents by paralyzing them with Numbing Bullets or obscuring their screens with Paint Bullets. The last few minutes of these matches earn players double the points, so it is possible to turn a bad situation around completely.
Koei Tecmo also announced new characters joining the fray: Keith Sadies, Kitz Woermann, Dhalis Zachary and Dot Pyxis. These additions puts the game’s roster over 30 characters. Furthermore, a Character Creation Studio was also announced, allowing players to create their own scout.

Attack on Titan 2 will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on March 20th, 2018.
