Sol Press has launched the Kickstarter for their latest Visual Novel project Newton and the Apple Tree. This Story follows protagonist, Syuji Asanaga, and his childhood friend Yotsuko Utakane who are tracking down Syuji’s grandfather that has turned up missing. The duo end up travelling through time by a mysterious chain of events. When they arrived at their destination there stood a girl before them. This small chested girl before them would turn out to be the famed Sir Isaac Newton! Sadly, through Syuji’s witless conduct, the great scientific discoveries of past had all crumbled to ashes. The couple must find a way to correct this and get back to their own time!

There is a free demo for the game that will cover the first 1-2 two hours of gameplay. The entire Visual Novel contains 5 different endings, 5 voiced character videos and 5 heroines to choose from. The game will launch on Steam with a day one 18+ patch available for free!

The Kickstarter features a ton of reward tiers that range from $1 to $1500. These tiers include everything from great digital goodies such as artbooks and soundtracks to awesome physical goods such as a tapestry, phone case, key chains and more. Physical versions of the game start in the $55 tier and include the digital version as well. Personally, I think that’s a pretty sweet deal.

The campaign is currently at about $29,000 of its $31,200 goal and Sol Press has already announced some really awesome stretch goals. These include the localization of the special in store episodes found in Japan and localization of the after story light novels for each character.

You can find more information on the Kickstarter page or Sol Press’s official site.

As the site admin, he will continue to do this and even show there is value in what some would deem "pure ecchi." He loves niche games and anime more than anything... well, except maybe Neptune.
