Today Koei Tecmo America has announced a release date for Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings in North America. The game will be released  on March 27, 2018 for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC via Steam. This installment will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the series, time sure flies don’t it.

This story follows the alchemist twins Lydie and Suelle as they work with their father to make the best Atelier in town. The twins soon find strange new world that can be accessed by jumping into paintings.  The mystery grows deeper when they discover these painting have residual thoughts of their deceased mother. The twins will discover many worlds on their journey to unlock the mysteries of these paintings.

Pre-ordering Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings, via select retailers or online via Steam will net you some bonus DLC costumes inspired from legacy alchemists Marie and Erie. The bonus content also includes an item set full of useful alchemical ingredients and a battle theme. You can also get this bonus if you buy the game digitally off PSN within two weeks of release.

Burlingame, Calif. — November 14, 2017 — KOEI TECMO America announced today that the most colorful and artistic entry of Gust’s ‘Atelier’ series, Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings – the gripping conclusion to the ‘Mysterious’ series following the tale of the apprentice alchemist twins Lydie and Suelle – will be released on March 27, 2018 for PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Nintendo Switch™, and Windows PC via Steam®.

This next installment to the loved Atelier franchise celebrates the 20th Anniversary for the franchise and summons players to become the best alchemist ever by following the tale of the apprentice alchemist twins Lydie and Suelle. While working with their father to make their atelier the best in town, the outgoing twins surprisingly discover colorful worlds by jumping into magical paintings and soon find that the mysterious paintings hold the residual thoughts of their deceased mother. Traveling through different paintings reveals vivid worlds for the twins – from the light tones of the ethereal ‘Heavenly Flower Garden’, with the falling rain of stars, to the gloomy hues of the not so delightful Halloween-inspired ‘The Spooky Forest’.

Long-time fans, as well as apprentice alchemists, will want to pre-order Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings, via select retailers or online via Steam, as it includes bonus DLC costumes inspired from legacy alchemists Marie and Erie. The bonus content also includes an item set full of useful alchemical ingredients and battle-themed music. Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings also includes appearances from the protagonists of the previous titles – Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book and Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey. The adventurous Firis, her protective older sister Liane, the inquisitive Sophie, and her friendly alchemy teacher Plachta are all back to help Lydie and Suelle fulfil their dream to run the best atelier in the country. Fans will also be pleased to see other familiar faces returning in this brand-new tale, such as Ilmeria, who has now taken the role of a teacher for the new alchemists!
