Shiver Manga

The Shiver manga anthology will launch on December 19th in a deluxe hardcover edition under the Viz signature imprint. The Shiver manga anthology contains nine of Junji Ito’s best short stories that were chosen by the author himself. They also include accompanying commentary and notes. You can find out more about Shiver at www.Viz.com.

“Manga creator Junji Ito made his professional debut in 1987 and has gone on to be recognized as one of the greatest contemporary artists working in the horror genre. His critically acclaimed titles include TOMIE and UZUMAKI, which were adapted into critically praised live-action films, as well as GYOwhich was adapted into an animated feature film. TOMIE, UZUMAKI, GYO, and Ito’s celebrated manga short story anthology FRAGMENTS OF HORROR are all published in English by VIZ Media in deluxe hardcover editions available under the VIZ Signature imprint. Ito’s influences include classic horror manga artists Kazuo Umezu and Hideshi Hino, as well as authors such as Yasutaka Tsutsui and H.P. Lovecraft.”

Pokémon Omega Ruby/Pokémon Alpha Sapphire

Pokémon fans can get a preview of the latest Pokémon manga adventure via the all-ages preview sampler. This time Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald find themselves staring down a new, rather huge crisis. Years have passed at this point and Sapphire and Emerald have begun training in the art of Mega Evolution, and they’ll need Ruby’s help. Setting out in search of some way to change the meteor’s course, Ruby travels to the Sky Pillar. Her goal is to gain the trust of Zinnia, lore keeper of the mysterious Draconid tribe. The question is, does she have the key to saving the entire world, and how is the Legendary Rayquaza related to all of this?

Michael Fontanini
Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
