Sword Art Online: Alicization | Key Art

During the Sword Art Online panel at Dengeki Autumn Festival 2017, it was officially announced that the Sword Art Online TV anime would be receiving a third season. The anime will be titled Sword Art Online -Alicization- and will cover the Alicization arc featured in the original light novels.

The cast announced for the anime is as follows:

  • Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Kirito/Kazuto Kirigaya
  • Haruka Tomatsu as Asuna/Asuna Yuuki
  • Ai Kayano as Alice
  • Nobunaga Shimazaki as Eugeo

The Alicization arc for the original light novels spanned a total of 10 volumes (Volumes 9 to 18) and is the longest arc in the entire series so far. No other information has been released for the anime.
