ONE PIECE: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition

Bandai Namco Entertainment America, Inc. has released ONE PIECE: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition on the Nintendo Switch eShop. Monkey D. Luffy will embark with the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates on an epic journey. The game has been remastered for modern consoles with higher frame rates, higher HD screen resolution, and over 40 pieces of included DLC. It aims to be the definitive ONE PIECE: Unlimited World Red experience. The Nintendo Switch version also features exclusive modes that were not possible on other platforms.

This year is the 20th anniversary for the ONE PIECE franchise. It has sold more than 400,000 volumes so far, making it the best-selling manga ever. ONE PIECE: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition sets out to bring that same level of quality to the video game realm. It brings a game-exclusive storyline and new characters designed by series creator, Eiichiro Oda. Bandai Namco Entertainment America’s Associate Brand Manager, Randy Le, commented on the features the Nintendo Switch made possible:

“The Nintendo Switch version of ONE PIECE: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition not only provides the great gameplay and an original story, but also the ability to play it anywhere they may be with the system’s unique Handheld and Table-Top Modes. ONE PIECE: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition provides a treasure trove of exhilarating content for ONE PIECE fans young and old whether at home or on-the-move.”

ONE PIECE: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition is available for $39.99 in the Nintendo Switch eShop. It is rated “T” for Teen by the ESRB. The game is also available for PC via the Steam platform, and the PlayStation 4. Players can tackle both missions and side quests with a friend in local cooperative multiplayer. You can also team up to take on bosses as a team in the Battle Coliseum mode.

Michael Fontanini
Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
