The creators of the acclaimed indie hit Thimbleweed Park have let slip that the game will be coming to Nintendo Switch in the future. A video courtesy of developer Ron Gilbert shows his creation running on the platform in good form, with the addition of touch screen functionality. The studio behind the game, Terrible Toybox, promises more news on the console port next week.

Originally getting its jump start on KickStarter in 2014, Thimbleweed Park is the creation of acclaimed developers Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick, both famous from the point-and-click PC era. The game is a loving callback to the days of Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion. Ron Gilbert previously spoke of a Switch port earlier this year, stating they were talking to Nintendo about such a possibility. The game is currently out on Xbox One and Android, with iOS (and now Switch) ports due later.
