Publisher Natsume has given out one of their E3 surprises, confirming that Nekketsu Mahou Monogatari will launch in the west this summer as River City: Knights of Justice. It will launch this summer in North America and Europe on the 3DS as a digital-only release, and be playable at the E3 expo in Los Angeles in June.

Released in Japan back in 2014, River City: Knights of Justice is spun from Arc System Works’ Kunio-kun franchise. It takes the familiar cast of those hot-blooded brawlers and transplants them in a medieval, Dragon Quest riff, with turn-based battles, magic, and sprite-based graphics. While this experimental Kunio-kun spin-off is digital-only, its predecessor, River City: Tokyo Rumble, did get a retail release last year.
