Veteran Japanese RPG developer Nihon Falcom has announced that the PS4 version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana has gone gold, meaning the game is ready to meet the planned release date of 25th May 2017 in Japan. This follows the release of the PS Vita version last summer.

Falcom stated via Twitter that “the final master version [of Ys VIII for PS4] has arrived!” They followed that up with “We just started playing it. Everyone, please rest assured. With this, there is almost no possibility that the release date will be delayed. Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (PS4 version) will launch on May 25, 2017 (Thursday).” The above picture is included in the tweet.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana will be coming West this Autumn for PS4, PS Vita, as well as PC via Steam. The title will be published in the West by NIS America.
