Today Atlus released a trailer for their upcoming release of  Puyo Puyo Tetris. This trailer shows off some of the basics of how to play the game for those not in the know.

Here is a bit more about the trailer straight from the PR:

I’m not one to judge if you don’t know how to pop Puyos or clear Tetriminos, but luckily for you there are tons of ways to learn how to play in Puyo Puyo™ Tetris®. Practice makes perfect, so playing the tutorials and training with the variety of challenge modes in the game will make you a pro in no time. Learn how to get better at initiating Puyo chains in Endless Fever and Endless Puyo modes! Practice your Tetris stacking strategies in Sprint and Ultra modes! There’s always room for improvement, so be sure to spend some quality time with the Challenge Modes. Of course, another way to get good is to actually play against other people! Even though you may fall to more experienced players at first, it’ll only be a matter of time before you feel the amazing thrill of victory.

Here is the trailer for your viewing pleasure:

Puyo Puyo Tetris will launch on April 25th in North America and April 28th in Europe for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 consoles. The PlayStation 4 version will be available only in a physical format for $29.99, but the Nintendo Switch version will be available digitally for $29.99 and physically for $39.99, with a special launch edition that includes two Puyo Puyo- and Tetris-themed keychains while supplies last. The special launch edition of Puyo Puyo Tetris on the Nintendo Switch will only be available in quantities limited to pre-orders and first-run printings of the game in the Americas.

About Steve Baltimore

Steve started with oprainfall not long after the campaign moved from the IGN forums to Facebook. Ever since, he has been fighting to give all non-mainstream RPGs a fair voice. As the site admin, he will continue to do this and even show there is value in what some would deem "pure ecchi." He loves niche games and anime more than anything... well, except maybe Neptune.

Royally late, no dual audio and no Vita version. Good going Sega.
I’ll stick to my imported PS3 and Vita copy’s instead.
