Shingo Natsume | Space Dandy

Hot on the heels of Toru Furuya’s addition to Anime Boston comes another announcement: animation director Shingo Natsume will be the convention’s fifth Japanese guest. The director has worked on many titles, such as Space DandyOne Punch Man, and Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos.

Along with Furuya, Shingo Natsume is joining Puffy AmiYumi, the OKAMOTO’S, and Naokatsu Tsuda as Anime Boston’s Japanese guests. The American guests include Lex Lang, Sandy Fox, Johnny Yong Bosch, Michelle Ruff, Brina Palencia, Kyle Colby, Bryson Baugus, Greg Ayres, and Lisa Ortiz.

Director to appear at the Northeast’s largest anime convention

Boston – Anime Boston, the largest anime convention in New England, announced its fifth Japanese guest of honor today.  Animation director Shingo Natsume will appear at Anime Boston at the Hynes Convention Center, Boston, Mass, on March 31 through April 2, 2017.

Shingo Natsume has directed many anime, including television series Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei and the theatrical film Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos.

He has also directed Hori-san to Miyamura-kun, Space Dandy, and One Punch Man.  His latest directorial work is ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept.

“Natsume-san is the director of two of the hottest titles in the past few years, Space Dandy and One Punch Man. We’re honored to have the opportunity to present Natsume-san to his fans in Boston, and to give them the opportunity to talk to him!” said Victor Lee, Convention Chairman.

Previously announced guests include Puffy AmiYumi, Lex Lang, Sandy Fox, OKAMOTO’S, Michelle Ruff, Johnny Yong Bosch, Naokatsu Tsuda, Brina Palencia, Toru Furuya, Kyle Colby Jones, Bryson Baugus, Greg Ayres, and Lisa Ortiz.
