Chroma Squad

In a press release from Bandai Namco, it has been announced that Chroma Squad will be coming the PS4 and Xbox One this May. However, with the announcement there is also some unfortunate news. Although previously announced, a Vita version of the game will not be released. Here’s the game’s original release trailer.

If you aren’t familiar with the game here’s the description from the game’s site:

“Chroma Squad is a tactical RPG about five stunt actors who decide to quit their jobs and start their own Power Rangers-inspired TV show!

Cast actors and purchase upgrades for your studio, craft weapons and giant Mechas out of cardboard. Once the cameras are rolling, you will control your cast of five colored-jumpsuit-clad warriors in dramatic turn-based battles!”

Chroma Squad will be released on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in May. If you like you can check out our review here.

About Walter P

Plays too much, but still has too many games to finish. Will play any type of game and will watch anything, so is of course not good at being productive. Loves anything crazy.

    Game is social justice shit.

    • Mr0303

Why? What does it have in it?

    • Nin

There’s one early mission that’s hyper cringeworthy. After that, social justice isn’t mentioned much, as far as I can remember.

Said episode is still cringey enough that I recommend trying it out before buying.

    • Mr0303

One episode is enough for me to ignore the game.

    • Louis

If I remember correctly, the game originally released with a scene where a girl sent them a fanmail asking to be rescued on the show, but they replaced her with a boy instead because they didn’t want to enforce sexist damsel tropes.
That scene may have been removed since then, but it was still kinda questionable at first.

    • Mr0303

Talk about regressive. They even screwed their own fans. Thanks for letting me know. They won’t be receiving my support.

Bamco have been pretty crap to the Vita recently. First they refused to release Digimon World: Next Order and now this.
