Looks like we’ll be heading back to Eagle Jump to see what the video game company is up to: season two of New Game! is in development! The news comes from the Next Level Fan Appreciation event that was held on February 12th at Toyosu PIT. Fans who bought the first two Blu-rays of season one were treated to free tickets to the event and got to meet the cast of the show.
The author of the original manga, Shotaro Tokuno, also posted an image on Twitter in celebration:

New Game! follows Aoba, a fledgling programmer at the video game company Eagle Jump. The series quickly became one of our favorite new anime series of last year. We’ll keep you posted when a release date for the new season becomes available.
