Square Enix developer Yosuke Saito has announced that NieR: Automata has officially gone gold and is ready to meet the game’s release date for PS4 – which in Japan is 23rd February, with the North American and European dates following on 7th March and 10th March respectively. Saito notes that this happened a while ago, but decided to announce it as these kind of tweets have been a trend lately. Developed by Platinum Games, the sequel to this cult hit RPG will also be coming to PC later in the year.

NieR: Automata will be releasing in North America and Europe next month for PS4 and on PC later this year.

That’s cool – going gold a month before release suggests that there shouldn’t be any major bugs. Hopefully the game turns out to be good.

  • Can’t wait to get this on PC.
