After a year since it was first unveiled, Dragon Quest XI has finally resurfaced at Jump Festa 2017 in Japan. Square-Enix and series creator Yuji Horii showcased several trailers at the event, including a look at the opening cinematic, gameplay from both the 3DS and PS4 versions, and an introduction to a new party member. The opening CG sequence featured several new characters in addition to the spotlighted newcomer, but their identities are being kept under wraps for now. The game is officially scheduled to release in Japan on PS4 and 3DS sometime in 2017. Keep in mind a Nintendo Switch version was also confirmed earlier this year. Check out the new trailers below.
