Nintendo Switch

New rumors have surfaced on the upcoming software line-up for Nintendo Switch. Courtesy of Let’s Play Video Games, the rumor states that the Mario game teased in the Switch preview video will be a launch day title for the system, with a demo planned to be shown off in January. The new Mario game will be a more open in nature with multiple worlds accessed via a hub, similar to Super Mario 64, Sunshine, and Galaxy. The game will also feature a co-op mode where two players can help each other complete objectives.

Another game planned for launch is Skyrim Remastered, also previewed in the Switch preview video. The game will support mods, but not from day one, and will be limited to in-game assets similar to the PS4 version of the game. Splatoon will also come to the Switch and will be available in a premium bundle for the system. There will be a new 1 vs. 1 multiplayer mode included, along with new single-player contentand regular updates to expand the game similar to the Wii U version.

Finally, the rumor states that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will not make the launch of the Switch. The Wii U version of the game will launch aside the Switch version a few months after the Switch launches. Keep in mind that these are rumors, but LPVG has covered Nintendo Switch rumors in the past that turned out to be true. We’ll have to wait and see as Nintendo plans to fully unveil the Switch and upcoming software on January 12.
