PAX Prime 2015 | Guild of Dungeoneering

A couple years back, one of my biggest surprises at PAX was how much I adored Guild of Dungeoneering. I hadn’t played it beforehand, and this was when the Pirate’s Cove expansion had hit. That didn’t stop me from quickly becoming immersed by the simple to learn, hard to master gameplay. Along with the cute art aesthetic and tremendous replay value to get achievements, I decided to go ahead and review it, and ended up very happy with my time. Now Gambrinous and Versus Evil have announced a 2nd expansion, called Ice Cream Headaches. It’s officially out right now, and it has a bunch of new content for fans.

Besides taking place in a frigid new zone, no doubt lousy with yetis and other threats, Ice Cream Headaches also introduces a new Favour mechanic. Through strategic Rune placement, your heroes can earn favor with the Fates. The new expansion will also include 24 new cards, 30 new monsters and even 3 new Dungeoneer classes! Yes, now you can add Yodeller, Ice Cream Monk and Snowitch to the available Dungeoneers! And lastly, there will be 21 new quests to liven things up.

All in all, I’m quite excited about this new Guild of Dungeoneering expansion, and look forward to telling you all more about it once I’ve had a chance to play it for myself!
