Trails of Cold Steel | FoundationSony Interactive Entertainment Europe have started a sale on the European PlayStation Store for a large amount of games. While there are many mainstream games on sale, there are also a large amount of niche games on sale as well. Additionally, you can also get 10% off with PS Plus for some games. The prices here will be in GBP, so please check your own PSN to see your local price (or if it’s even listed at all).

To start, a couple of Idea Factory International titles are on sale. Megadimension Neptunia VII has had a 44% reduction and is now £24.99 and Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force has also been discounted to £29.99. PQube have reduced the PS4 version of Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- to £24.99. Furthermore, they have also discounted the ecchi rail shooter Gal*Gun: Double Peace for PS4 and PS Vita down to £24.99 on PS4 and £15.99 on PS Vita. I reviewed the Vita version for this site and it is a fun game, however the Vita port is held back by technical limitations so I would recommend the PS4 or Steam versions instead. Now is a good time to jump aboard the Gal*Gun train.

Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force

NIS America have also done some discounts too. Firstly, they have reduced the price of Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir for all three platforms. It is £29.99 on PS4, £15.99 on PS3 and £14.99 on PS Vita. Furthermore, they also have cut the price of both versions of The Witch and the Hundred Knight, with the Revival Edition having it’s price slashed to £14.99. The PS4 version of Grand Kingdom has also been reduced to £19.99, and Vita exclusive Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy is now £11.99. Finally, two Nihon Falcom titles are on sale. Ys: Memories of Celceta is now £9.99 and The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel has been discounted for both PS3 and PS Vita, coming in at £15.99 and £14.99 respectively. With the European release for Trails of Cold Steel II coming in November, now is a good opportunity to get acquainted with this game if you haven’t played it already. It’s also pretty neat so far, if what I’ve played is anything to go by.

Aksys Games have discounted several of their titles too. I won’t cover all of their discounts here, however there are many worth mentioning. Firstly, there are several Otomate titles are on sale. For PS3, Hakouki: Stories of the Shinsengumi is listed at £7.99. For PSP, Hakuoki: Warriors of the Shinsengumi is priced at £9.99. Over on the PS Vita, Norn9: Var Commons is £15.99. Code:Realize: Guardian of Rebirth is also discounted to £16.99, however this is also a free PS Plus game this month so you have the option of getting it for free. Other Aksys published titles on discount include Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate, (I reviewed this title as well and I wholeheartedly recommend it), Zero Time Dilemma and Mind Zero. Finally, Muramasa Rebirth (and it’s DLC) has been discounted, with the base game down to £9.99 and the Complete Edition down to £11.99. I also recommend this game as well.

Muramasa Rebirth - Yukinojo

Finally, a few more discounts worth mentioning from other publishers – Acctil have discounted the Experience-developed Ray Gigant to £11.99. Sega Europe has reduced the price of Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax to £15.99 on PS3 and £11.99 on Vita. Both Agarest: Generations of War 2 and Zero over on the PS3 have also been heavily discounted by Ghostlight. Finally, Deep Silver have also discounted The King of Fighters XIV to £39.99.

This sale runs until October 19th, so there are plenty of niche games to check out! Happy spending!
