Nintendo NX

The Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara has spoken briefly about the Nintendo NX, and may have confirmed one of the system’s long-standing rumors. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Ishihara gave some insight into what kind of system the NX would be and confirmed software from the company would hit the platform. He had this to say:

“The NX is trying to change the concept of what it means to be a home console device or a hand-held device. We will make games for the NX.”

It’s been long-rumored that the NX would feature both handheld and console functionality, and this latest quote seems to all but confirm that. Of course it’s not really official until Nintendo confirms it themselves. The Nintendo NX is set to be revealed sometime this year.

Nintendo will not get one more dollar from me for their systems. N3DS is BS. The Wii U abandonment even bigger BS.

DQ7 running like arse on the old 3DS was the final straw for me. I’d rather my dollars went elsewhere.

I’m not fully getting the problem here. The 3DS is great and has a ton of games. The Wii U was not a success so Nintendo had to move on but they are great games on this system also. The one thing I could agree with u on was them bringing out a New 3DS with more power and splitting the market but that seems to be the thing now e.g PS4 Pro and Xbox1 Scorpio. Doesn’t look like it’s something u can get away from nowadays. I’d say just wait and see what Nintendo have planned for the NX. I honestly haven’t been this excited bout a Nintendo system since the Snes.

I too would rather judge a console once it comes out and we know all the details, but the trend Nintendo set with the N3DS is indeed a really bad one. Sony and MS doing it as well doesn’t make it a good practice.

I think Jeremy is generally disappointed with Nintendo’s recent track record and they have lost his trust.

Ok, lets compare 1st party games on GB, GBA, and DS compared to 3DS…..ya, that’s what I thought, there is no comparison, 3DS is just bad. the 3DS is just ports of N64 games and Wii/Wii U games. it’s just terrible. I have like barely any games for 3DS compared to my GBA and DS collection. Nintendo never ever puts their games on sale, it took me 1 year since the release of the gamecube controller adapter for smash 4 to get one. the amiibo fiasco is just ridiculous how I never could get/find any amiibo’s I wanted. It’s going to be the exact same way with the 30th anniversary zelda amiibo’s, probably wont be able to get them because Nintendo doesn’t stock anything worth shit. I’m not buying anything Nintendo after Breath of the Wild. PS4 pro vs slim is just one has 4k one doesn’t. Nintendo is just the worst. I remember when Pikmin 3 was up to $90 where I live because for 2 years they stopped printing the game. And why the hell is New Super Mario Bros. Wii U still $75 when it was a launch game!? I’m just done with Nintendo.

This statement kind of confirms that it’s a console/handheld hybrid.

This is nice, but they should just reveal the thing already! What is this, the Saturn? I want to be interested but this is getting silly, to say the least.

I have feelingthey are going slow with so they won’t giove any of their competitor any idea onthe spec’s of the system.
