When Funimation announced its partnership with Crunchyroll, they promised English dubs while their partner would stream their titles subbed. The switch is going into full effect: Funimation is eliminating its subtitle subscription plan. Customers subscribed to this plan should get an email from them describing how they will be affected.

The good news: the price of the FunimationNow Premium membership has been reduced from $7.99 a month to $5.99 a month. That is $59.99 a year. The plan focuses on dubbed anime, but you can go over to Crunchryoll if you wish to watch some of these titles subbed. Not all of Funimation’s titles have been announced for Crunchyroll yet, but we’ll keep an eye out and see if that changes.
