Kantai Collection | Atago and Takao, Mikoto Akemi Illustration

Good Smile Company is releasing some more high quality figures for the Kantai Collection web browser game. The figures are of two of the Takao class Heavy Cruisers, Takao and Atago. The Takao figure is a new release from Good Smile Company while the Atago figure is a re-release.

Both figures are based on an illustration from their character designer, Mikoto Akemi (seen above).

The Takao figure is the newest addition to Good Smile Company and Max Factory’s Wonderful Hobby Selection line of figures. She has two variations, a Heavy Armament version and a Light Armament version. The Heavy Armament version comes with her 20.3cm Twin Gun mounts. This version also comes with a special stand so you can display her alongside her sister, Atago.

The figure itself looks very nice. Takao’s proportions are captured perfectly and her pose really helps to accentuate her assets. You can check out pictures of the figure below.

Like the Takao figure, this one has a Heavy Armament version and a Light Armament version. Atago’s Heavy Armament version also comes with 20.3cm Twin Gun Mounts but does not come with the special display stand that Takao gets.
