sekai project

Sekai Project has added yet two more titles to their lineup via their panel at AnimeFest 2016.  The titles announced were This World Unknown from Ebi-Hime and Connie Amarance by FULSE/April Arts.

This World Unknown is an otome title that tells the story of Rhea, a girl that lives in the war torn country of Aslande. Rhea loves her simple life and works at the local hospital. This life is soon turned on its side however, when her childhood friend Luca comes back from the war and is a very different person. One of her other hospital patients is also suffering from a mysterious illness, and if she fails to cure him the outcome could be dire.

Connie Amarance looks to be a popular phone game in Korea and has some pretty impressive CG artwork.  The story is about a woman who has lost everything precious in her life and is now all alone. This leads her to see the world through her younger self and deal with choices she has made with those whose heart she now touches.

You can find out more about both titles in the press release below, or check out This World Unknown‘s Steam Greenlight page.

Peace is scarce in the country of Aslande, which has been at war with the neighboring country of Eressia for centuries. To Rhea, however, war is a distant concept; something she has heard about, but never witnessed. Born in a small, secluded village, Rhea occupies her life with more mundane concerns: her job at the local hospital, her playful bickering with her friend Asa, and her prayers for a successful harvest come autumn.

However, when Rhea’s childhood friend, Luca, returns home after fighting in one of Aslande’s many wars, Rhea is suddenly faced with a problem. Why is Luca suddenly so cold, so distant? What did he see out on the battlefield, and how did it change him?

At the same time, new worries plague Rhea, as one of the patients at the hospital is suffering from a rather perplexing illness – and a failure to cure him could have some unpleasant outcomes…

From Ebi-Hime, the creator of Asphyxia, The Way We All Go, and Strawberry Vinegar, This World Unknown is another fantastic example of a truly unique high quality offering of Western visual novels. Fans can expect rich and colorful artwork, a loveable cast of characters and a colorful world of romance, humor and friendships.
