In Bethesda’s E3 conference today, they stated that they wanted to lead the way for virtual reality games. Their choice for games to adapt first? Fallout 4 and DOOM, two of their most recent games. Both were available for conference attendees to play.

Fallout 4 is slated for 2017 on the HTC Vibe. As for DOOM, we’re not sure yet. Both are going to be some really intense VR games — imagine carrying your gun through either of those horrific worlds! Which one are you more excited about?

About Phil Schipper

Phil N. Schipper joined the Operation Rainfall staff to review Android games, but soon fell in love with writing news articles and Games of the Past. His dream is to make a living writing sci-fi and fantasy novels, which is why he leads the Obscure Authors Alliance in his free time. Still, even in his stories, which usually involve insane people, video games are one of his strongest influences. He describes himself as "a Mr. Nice Guy with a horrible, horrible dark side."

I hope both come out for the Oculus Rift because I just got mine the other day.

  • I hope they tweak the games a lot for VR because screen gaming does not map 1-1 to virtual reality. As much as I love Fallout I’m really skeptical about this announcement.
